This book review is about 'Who will cry when you die?' by Robin Sharma. If you are like me who counts the pages of the chapter before reading it then you will enjoy reading the crisp yet profound chapters.

The book asks you to introspect and find answers to these questions, "Who will cry when you die? How many lives you will touch while you have the privilege to walk this planet? What impact will your life have on the generations that follow you? And what legacy will you leave behind after you have taken your last breath?"

It's not just a great read but the lessons offered are worth executing. I am sure by the time you finish reading the book, you would have done your own S.W.O.T (strength, weakness, opportunity and threat) analysis. It will detox your soul. It will give you renewed energy, improve your perspective towards various aspects of life and make you more hands on.

Some thought provoking, beautifully written lines:
"Kindness, quite simply, is the rent we must pay for the space we occupy on this planet."

"By being stricter with yourself, you will begin to live life more deliberately, on your own terms rather than simply reacting to life the way a leaf floating in a stream drifts according to the flow of the current on a particular day."

"What we focus on will determine our destiny and so we must start focusing on the good stuff."

"So long as you live, keep learning how to live."

"All it takes is one idea from the right book to reshape your character or to transform your relationships or to revolutionize your life."

"Knowing how to read but failing to do so puts you in exactly the same position as the person who cannot read but wants to."

"Knowledge is only potential power. It transforms itself into actual power the moment you decisively act on it."

"The real value of setting and achieving goals lies not in the rewards you receive but in the person you become as a result of reaching your goals."

"The job of leadership today is not to make money, it's to make meaning."

"Clearly defined goals commit you to course of action."

"New habits are much like a new pair of shoes: for the first few days, they will feel uncomfortable."

"It is so easy to magnify our problems and lose sight of the many blessings we all have to be so very grateful for."

"Being different for all the right reasons is a wise way to live."

"It is never too late to become the person you have always wanted to be."

"Rather than looking for things to criticize in those around you, why not begin to respect the difference?"

Sudha Murty is one of my favourite Indian authors. The book "House of Cards" reminds you that money is not the answer to everything. Money might have the power to purchase anything under the sun but not human emotions. It exemplifies how money and power can change a person and his perspective towards life.
The book is a simple, gripping and a soulful narration.

The book is about a woman and her relationship with her family. It portrays a very simple picture of the complicated Indian family. It gives a glimpse of how a woman sacrifices so many things still at times doesn't receive equal importance and equal respect in the family and how women are often dismissed in Indian households. What is interesting here is how the woman in the story decides to take a stand for herself which at the end helps the man in her life realize her worth!

Some thought provoking, beautifully written lines:
"If you concentrate and learn, acquire knowledge and skill, then that is real talent. If you run after money more than work, then money will run away from you. If you acquire skill, money will run after you."

"A best friend is one who tells you the bitter truth."

"Change is the only constant. Changing according to one's circumstances is essential."

"I can make a stone talk, but not a stone-hearted person."

"Every person is an island. You need a bridge to connect two islands. That bridge is called relationship."

"Money is a useful tool. It's like a knife - you can either kill a person with it or you can cut an apple. It's up to you to decide how to use it."

"It's better to be out of the frying pan."

"Weddings are a gossipmonger's paradise."

"When the daughter becomes a young woman, she becomes a friend to her mother but the son becomes a stranger."

"People respect successful people. You keep your focus on your goal and work towards it. Remember, there are no permanent friends in life. Instead, the more successful you are, the more enemies you have."

"Nothing is black or white in this world. The cow gives milk for its calf. But we drink that same milk. Isn't that wrong? Trees have life. But we cut them down and use their wood. Isn't that wrong too? Mosquitoes and bugs are also living creatures. Don't we kill them because they trouble us? A big fish always eats the small fish. Is that right?"

"You should be simple, but not a simpleton. In a sacrifice, its a goat that is always chosen - not a tiger."

"The main reason for unhappiness is disappointment. Disappointment disappears with detachment. Detachment come through knowledge and knowledge is gained by dhyana. So you should learn the technique of dhyana."

"Every woman wants to change her life but no man understands how. He showers his wife with gifts that he likes but not with what she wants."

"A true leader leads with affection and not power."

There are many books out there for the first time gym goer, and I've read lots of them. At first I found them useful, but the more I learned about fitness the less useful I found them.

That changed with "Strength Training Anatomy". The book may be a little old now, but the exercises described and the detailed anatomical drawings are as relevant today as they ever were.

No other book really compares, each exercise is illustrated with all the relevant muscles detailed. Giving you a clear idea of what muscles are primary during a bicep curl, and where those muscles are situated. You might not know what a Brachioradialis is, but with this book you'll see where it is located, what exercises require it, and how it contracts.

This book is excellent for beginners and more experienced users, and is a must-have item for fitness professionals.

This book review is about, "MegaLiving" by Robin Sharma. The book has some wonderful life strategies that can help anyone who is interested in personal excellence and successful living. It is crammed with wise sayings, poignant quotes and plain good advices. It has a 30 day program which if followed with sincere conviction and discipline can help you make your life even better. The author has shared 200 secrets of successful living, while each one might not add value to your life, some of them can be relevant to you and contribute to your personal, professional or spiritual success.

Some of the thought provoking lines from the book:

"How would you feel on hearing that you did not even come close to meeting your mental, physical, financial and spiritual potential?"

"Circumstances are the creation of people and not the other way around. Peak performers, as opposed to weak performers, have trained themselves to shape the events of their lives rather than being shaped by them."

"Success on the outside begins within."

"The mind is like a muscle, if it is weak it can be conditioned for strength."

"We are happiest when we are growing and feeling that we are contributing in some way."

"There is nothing noble about being superior to some other person. The true nobility lies in being superior to your previous self."

"The mind is a terrible master but a wonderful servant."

"You alone are responsible for what you think."

"Just as a butterfly must shed her cocoon before she flies out into the deep blue sky, you too must make an energetic effort to shed the cocoon of limitation that has enveloped your life and prevented you from self-mastery and life excellence."

"The first step to eliminating mental fatigue is to control every thought in your mind. Make certain that each one is an optimistic, positive one."

"Awareness is the first step to excellence."

"One of life's biggest success tips is to figure out what you love doing and then find someone who will pay you to do it."
