Disappointment can own you forever or change you completely for the better. The choice is yours.

Even when you have a great life, you may not always get what you want.

We all fail at something at some point in our lives. We also handle disappointment in our own way. Some pout, a few get angry, and others go into denial. Pouting is a common response, but feeling sorry for yourself only blocks you from achieving your goals and moving forward in life.
Disappointment is one of life’s most uncomfortable feelings. Don’t let today’s disappointments cast a shadow on tomorrow’s dreams.

You need to understand these two simple truths, and keep these things in mind while dealing with disappointment:
- Disappointment happens to everyone
- Disappointment makes you stronger

Here’s how you can bounce back from failure and turn it into success:

Figure out why you failed

If you failed at something, CONGRATULATIONS! You just discovered what particular method doesn't work for you.

This part might be painful but it is very important.  Identify what your goal was, what the outcome was, and why it went wrong.  If you are being 100% honest with yourself, you can easily identify these issues.

So figure out what went wrong:
- Did you try to lose weight by crash dieting and starving yourself?
- Did you over eat healthy food?
- Did you not get enough sleep?
- Was your workout not challenging enough?
- Did you cheat with your meals?
- Were you eating more calories than you required?
- Were you skipping meals and then eating too much to fulfill your hunger?

Learn from it

A critical part of becoming better is receiving and acting upon accurate feedback.

It can be intimidating to receive performance feedback, but it’s crucial to our ability to learn from our mistakes and succeed.

So, no matter how good you are, you can only improve if you learnnew things which can make you better.
- Learn how to calculate calories and how to be in your calorie limits.
- Learn what to eat and what to avoid.
- Learn how to start lifting weights and reshape your body.
- Learn how to perform compound exercises which can help you getfaster results.
- Learn how to control your food cravings and stay away from weekend blowouts.
- Learn what supplements can help you reach your goal faster.

Plan your new approach

Nothing drives me crazier than watching people try to do the same thing over and over again without success and expecting different results.

That method does not work for you. Try something different.
- If eating less and not exercising didn’t work before, that probably isn’t going to be the right method to lose fat.
- If doing hundreds of crunches didn’t help you reduce belly fat, clearly it isn’t the right method to lose belly fat.
- If performing only cardio exercises didn’t help you get in shape, it means that you need to do something more to get in your desired shape.

Instead, may I suggest some alternative ideas?
- Set strength training goals and start performing weight lifting exercises. This will help build muscles, boost metabolism, lose fat and increase your self-confidence.
- Adjust your diet, focus on eating right foods and be in your calorie limits.Calorie deficit is no.1 requirement to lose fat.
- Build a lifestyle that leads you to success such as sleep for at least 8 hours, drink enough water, manage your stress level and limit alcohol consumption.

Track your progress

If you don’t know where you are going, you will probably end up somewhere else.

So it is important to track your progress.
- If your goal is losing weight, track your calories and determine what you are normally eating.  Eating 500 less calories per day (roughly) will result in 1kg loss in 15 days.
- If your goal is strength, track your workouts. You should know exactly how much you are lifting and how much you need to lift next time to know that you are getting stronger.
