Working out as a couple is one of the best ways to get your partner’s heart racing.
 
The time you spend at the gym suddenly becomes "us" time. You don't have to choose fitness over the time you spend with your partner. Think of it this way — you are spending quality time together and you are toning your body as well. Isn’t it a great idea to spend quality time together for some constructive work?

1 Improves Sex Life

Physical fitness absolutely affects the quality of sex. To put it bluntly, the better shape you are in, the longer you will last in bed.
 
Couples who work out together tend to have better sex lives because they feel better about themselves. They have high self-esteem; they feel more confident; they feel positive about life and also weight lifting increases the levels of the sex hormone (testosterone), which increases sex drive. 

The sculpted body, added energy, better stamina, flexibility, improved body image, self-confidence, high self-esteem, happy hormones, healthy relationship and increased testosterone level often lead to a fabulous sex life. 

2 Increases Self-Confidence

This is one of the biggest benefits of weight training. It enables you to transform into a better version of yourself (more confident, more self–aware, more mentally and physically strong), so that you can become a better person for the people around you.
 
Weight training can drastically improve your physical appearance, which for many people provides a huge emotional lift. It can make you happier about your appearance, and more positive and optimistic in general. 

3 Increases Your Happiness with Relationships

Weight lifting is one of the best ways to naturally improve your mood because it releases endorphins (happy hormones) that improve your mood and enhances your pleasure. Endorphins are the same hormones, which are released when you feel high. So after a good work out session, you tend to get the feeling of happiness. If you both are fit, healthy and happy, it will lead to a healthier and happier married life.

It helps people feel emotionally attuned with one another and those who experience it tend to report greater feelings of having “bonded” with their partner.

When partners care about fitness (their own and their partner’s), it becomes easier to achieve fitness goals. When one of you is tired or feeling lazy, the other partner can boost your morale and cheer you on. 

One cautionary note: Don't rely too heavily (or exclusively) on your partner when it comes to your own fitness goals. 

7 Reduces Stress

Life is stressful and relationships can be stressful too. Stress overload is a real killer of both physical and emotional intimacy. But working out together each day is a great time to release unexpressed frustration.
 
By the end of a vigorous workout session with your partner, you will both feel relaxed and happy. Regular exercise also helps to improve your mood and tends to reduce the fight or flight response to stress.
